Bookmarks
Initially, Mozilla stopped showing particular sections of particular web pages... e.g. a local weather pop up on weather stie, and chat on a chat page which is part of a larger football web site. I tried the refresh option for the browser. This worked for the above problems but totally messed up my You Tube experience. I decided to uninstall Mozilla and get the latest version. Not only is You Tube still a mess, but it seems that I have lost all of my bookmarks... they do not appear to be in my profile folder... Have I lost these bookmarks (quite a collection), and any idea why my YouTube is now so bad (e.g. whereas previously I had no problems with image and video with the Auto p setting), now I have constant freezing and only very low quality.... Also despite setting adblocks and other security addons, I am getting adds whereas before I got none. In short, the browser was very satisfactory until I tried to upgrade. So importantly, do you know where my bookmarks are and how I can get them back into my latest version of Mozilla. Thank You.

Question 1: What method did you use to uninstall Firefox?
Usually if you run the Firefox uninstaller from "Add/Remove Programs" (or whatever it is called these days), Firefox will not remove all your personal data (bookmarks, history, settings, add-ons) unless you specifically tell it to do that. Hopefully, you didn't delete all the old data.
Question 2: When you started Firefox after the reinstall, did it say that it needed to create a new profile?
That message could be caused by installing an older version, because profile folders are not backwards compatible. (Dedicated profiles per Firefox installation)
The internal page you can access at about:profiles should show your previous profiles and you could open the "Root" folder and look for the bookmarkbackups folder in each one to see what bookmarks could be restored.
This article has the steps for restoring a bookmark backup (you have to use Choose File to access backups that are outside your current profile folder): Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer.
Question 3: Do you still have a folder on your Windows desktop named Old Firefox Data?
When you run a Firefox Refresh, your entire old profile folder is moved there. The bookmarkbackups folder could be useful.
