As part of my job I need to fill in long content into webpages. Many of the words can be long and not so common in everyday language - but are words that I use many times in the report writing I do. Like with MS Word's AutoCorrect... Could there not be an option for custom work shortcuts, such as:

cst automatically becomes: custom prg automatically becomes: Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Crazy or what

Hi Jim, you are not the only person to wish for this. You probably can find an "Idea" post in the pipeline for consideration on Mozilla's product suggestion site at https://connect.mozilla.org/. If you have time, you can search over there and vote thumbs up for previously submitted ideas, or submit a new one.

Oh, and until then, you could look at using an add-on. I use Clippings, but I generally use right-click to input phrases rather than keywords and shortcut keys.
