My Thunderbird Inbox shows I have 6 unread emails, but there are no bolded emails shown.

I recently lost 3 months of emails from my inbox and my inbox indicates that I have 6 unread emails. None of the emails in my inbox are in bold print. I suspect they may be part of the lost emails. Where should I look for the lost items?

Have you tried right clicking and selecting properties and then the repair button?
