OATH2 option is not available for outgoing SMTP server on hotmail account

more options

Hi, I am running Nebula 128.3.0esr and I am unable to send from hotmail. When I go into the outgoing server settings I do not have an option for OATH2 which it requires the other settings are all as per microsofts instructions: SMTP server name: smtp-mail.outlook.com SMTP port: 587 SMTP encryption: STARTTLS I suspect I am doing something stupid but all my other mailboxes are working fine.

Chosen solution

The correct server name for the outgoing server is smtp.office365.com. Once you fixed the server name you'll be able to select OAuth2 as authentication method. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/microsoft-oauth-authentication-and-thunderbird-202
