Blank White Screen Testing Exposes Firefox 89 Scrolling Issues
Hi everyone,
Blank white full screen testing has been a game changer in identifying display issues like flickering and tearing. After upgrading to Firefox 89, I used a white full screen to pinpoint significant issues during scrolling on my MacBook Pro (2022 - macOS 13 Ventura) with an external LG screen over USB-C. This method made the inconsistencies highly visible.
When I reverted to Firefox 88, the issue disappeared, but it returned with 89, even after trying a new profile.
Additionally, I noticed that scrolling via the Mac trackpad starts laggy and only speeds up after the first scroll.
For now, I have reverted to Firefox 88, but I'm wondering if anyone else has faced these problems or found a fix?

Hi
Have you tried updating to a more recent supported version of Firefox?
This support article should help:

I’ve also noticed scrolling issues in Firefox 89 during specific scenarios. Are these problems limited to certain websites or does it happen universally?
Possible causes: Could it be related to the updated rendering engine? Temporary fixes: Has anyone tried disabling hardware acceleration or using an older version of Firefox to resolve this?
