What is the problem with my bookmarks?

Recently, I noticed that I canot save bookmarks. When I right-click on a tab and click "Bookmark this tab", nothing happens. I used to save without problems before this happened. I have no Bookmark-related add-ons. Can anyone help please?

You might have a locked or damage Places.sqlite (i.e. the file that stores history and bookmarks).

Try taking a look at http://kb.mozillazine.org/Locked_or_damaged_places.sqlite.
