Why is Firefox not always opening third window correctly?

more options

When I go to open a 3rd window, Firefox does not always open correctly. The window is displayed, but only the upper left hand part of the window is visible...the rest of the window is gray/blue. I believe I can see File, Edit, View and part of the word History...everything else is blank. If I close the window, and then reopen it, sometimes it does the same thing and sometimes it opens the window correctly. Oh, I've also uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox to see if that would help but it didn't. Anyone have any idea what is going on?

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode Don't select anything right now, just use "Continue in SafeMode."

If not, see this: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/troubleshooting+extensions+and+theme...
