It was working initially one day it stopped opening so i uninstalled it and could not delete scriptff.dll file which I deleted along with the technical support of Mcafee. But still it is not working. after installing I check the box to launch the firefox but it does not launch instead in task mangae its running.

Hi,

If the history or download folder has grown causing the slowdown, then clear the history by going to ‘Tools > Downloads’ and opt to ‘Clean Up’.

If this does not solve the problem, delete the downloads.rdf file completely.

If Firefox is attempting to save downloads to non existing folder, then reset the location by navigating to “about.config” from Firefox address bar and reset “browser.download.lastDir”. Or create a new download folder in the settings.

Sometime Firefox may be stuck in an infinite loop due to badly written codes in sites with Java or Flash.

To confirm this, open the same site with explorer or other browsers.
