At top of screen, "Firefox is not able to show the Toolbar. Please re-install the Toolbar." How do I do this?

This "might" be related to another problem. When I shut down my computer and restart, I can no longer start Firefox from the shortcut on my screen. Message says "application failed to start because MSVCR80.dll not found. Re-install."

Not sure what this means or how to do it or even if it is a Firefox-related problem.

This issue can be caused by an extension or plugin that isn't working properly.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
