When clicking on + in the tab menu, new tab no longer opens. Right click and "New Tab" don't work either. However opening a bookmark in "new tab" opens that certain page. Tried to restore firefox, and it did not solve the issue. What should I do to be able to open tabs again?

You have Ask Toolbar installed and enabled. Ask Toolbar has been known to cause problems with opening new tabs in Firefox 3.6.

To disable Ask Toolbar:

  1. Go to Tools.
  2. Choose Add-ons from the drop-down menu.
  3. Click Extensions.
  4. Choose Ask Toolbar.
  5. Click Disable.
  6. Click Restart Firefox.
