Do you trigger the popup by clicking something? If so, you can use a setting that allows Firefox to open a popup only if something is clicked, but not if the popup is spontaneous. In about:config, add this setting:

dom.disable_open_click_delay - I use 3000, which is 3 seconds. The response is allowed if it happens within 3 seconds.

To open Pop-up Blocker Exceptions dialog, do one of the following

  • click Firefox button > Options > Options > Content > Exceptions
  • if using the Menu Bar, click Tools > Options > Content > Exceptions
  • HOLD down the ALT key while typing the keyboard characters TO, click on "Content" at the top, click on "Exceptions" to the right of "Block pop-up windows"

On the Exceptions dialog

  • enter the site name at the top,
  • click "Allow"
  • then click "Close", to close the Exceptions dialog
  • then click OK, to close the Options window

Try to reload the site.
