I cannot use (input or display) Japanese Fonts while in Firefox 5.0

I had a Windows 7 crash and had to re-install everything. Unfortunately, it seems that only with Firefox 5.0 do I have a problem using (either inputting or displaying) Japanese fonts. This is a pain since I use Firefox at home and need to use Japanese fonts. Alternatively, it appears to work fine in (gasp!) Internet Explorer and other applications. Typically what happens is that I get a number instead of the expected Japanese phonetic input. For example, I will try to type in the Japanese name "Kazuko": 678901 I am using the Microsoft IME, with which I've had no problems in the past.

Okay, the problem was with the security program provided by Comcast. As soon as I uninstalled "Constant Guard," the problem was resolved. All's right with the world...well, not really but at least this problem's fixed!

Now, about Comcast....

Thank you! Not only did that allow me to type in Japanese, it's noticeably increased the speed of Firefox overall.

I don't think I was even getting any benefits from Constant Guard. Glad to be rid of it!
