Why when I save a page, it takes a php extension? Why not htm or html? When I open the saved page afterwards, it could open with dreamweaver or frontpage and I have to tell it to open with FF but if html then it will automatically open with a browser.

Just make sure that you have an .html file extension when you save a website if you have a file association to open files with a .php file extension with Dreamweaver and you do not want to change that.

When I save, 1 option is to save just an html page (which looks like text only in the end) but I choose "complete web page" and that's when I find it has been saved with php extension.
