How can I permanently delete my username from a drop down list, ie when logging in to gmail. I have already disabled password memory.

I am using a Mac Pro OS X with Firefox 6.0. I can delete the username in the drop down list using shift+delete, but it reappears the next time I log in.

This is a serious privacy concern, and is difficult to delete every time I sign in. I have disabled passwords for Google.com, so it does not appear in Firefox security under "passwords".
