i am running windows 7 and zone alarm and cannot download the new firefox update whice is 7 0 1

i got message saying there was an update to firefox 7 0 1 but i download the update but it will not install i have also lost the older firefox,as i said i am running windows 7 32 bit and have zone alarm on the pc zone alarm came up that the download was not stable

You need to Uninstall your current Firefox installation and then Reinstall Firefox.

-> Uninstall Firefox from your computer

  • DO NOT SELECT TO REMOVE USER DATA AND SETTINGS
  • Restart your system

-> Download latest Firefox version from one of these links using some other Web Browser:

-> Installing Firefox

Check and tell if its working.

                my antivirus was not the problem.i get the download for firefox and it loads onto my pc.but when i try to open it i get a box comes up saying,platform version 7 is not compatible with min version7/max version7.think this could be windods 7? thanks for your help. ken2
