I bookmark a site, and it appears in "recently bookmarked". I drag it down below the line into my general list (on the sidebar) which I arrange alphabetically. I now have 3 bookmarks for the site - 2 above the line and one below. I delete the two above the line, and ALL of them vanish including the one I wanted to save below the line!!!

Please help, new to Mozilla.

Recently Bookmarked is a list of the last few bookmarks that have been added to other folders -- such as the default Unsorted Bookmarks folder. When you dragged, you made a copy of the bookmark. The copy was then listed as Recently Bookmarked. When you deleted, both bookmarks were deleted along with their listings as Recently Bookmarked.

You will probably prefer dragging links and location bar icons directly to the sidebar. Or right-click in the page and click Bookmark.
