I checked the "never remember passwords for this site" option many times before. Why is the options-security-exceptions menu empty ?
The sites are definitely still in the exception list cause the only place where I can't save the password is on the computer I checked this. On other computers it works, so the site I'm trying to save my password on allows autocomplete. Can the problem be the fact that I use the same profile and settings saved from "C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox" everytime I reinstalled the os since Firefox 3 ? Are these profiles fully compatible with the latests Firefox versions ? Thank you in advance for your answers !

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.
To see all History and Cookie settings, choose:
- Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
- Deselect: [ ] "Always use private browsing mode"
I have saved passwords for others sites that I'm currently using so Firefox does not run in Private Browsing mode.
You can try Forget About This Site.
You can inspect and manage the permissions for all domains on the about:permissions page via the location bar.
The permissions for this site are all set right. I have created another account on the same site, and for this one i can store the passsword. Was there a "never ask for this user" kind of option on previous Firefox versions ? I'm thinking maybe I checked this option and this is why I can't save the passwords for my older accounts now.
