I just want the menu bar, icon toolbar/address bar and tab bar at the top of my window. Can I turn off everything else?

Add color home, back/forward and other buttons (like Firefox 3) to the Navigation Toolbar in place of the gray buttons in Firefox 4+:

Hi,

You can enable the menu bar and put the tab bar on top via View (Alt + V) > Toolbars and by clicking Customize in the same menu, you would be able to relocate the location (address) bar and the icons. Customizing (see also the second pic).

Thanks to everyone that replied! I'm going to try and install 9.xx and see if I can get it to look like 3.6x...but first I'm going to set a restore point :-) JIC !

Don't use system restore to restore a previous Firefox version.
It doesn't work properly and can lead a corrupted Firefox installation and dataloss.

Thanks - maybe the best thing to do is back up the HD on USB. I think I have the original install file for Firefox 3.6.x..if I do, I'll uninstall it and then install the new one. But, a back-up seems to be the way to go :-)

I appreciate the input!

When 3.6 finishes(I know everyone won't leave straight away) there will be a shambles. Maybe Mozilla should consider a "Classic" version of Fx13 to make switching less painful. Otherwise there will be blood on the screens in this Forum.
