How to prevent sites from resizing pop-up windows, disabling menus?
Since upgrading to Firefox 13, I am having problems with sites opening new, resized windows with the drop down menus (File, Edit, etc.) and other toolbars disabled or removed. I have uncheck all the Advanced options in the Enable Java Script section of the Firefox Options menus, but this does not seem to have done the trick.
Bottom line: I want these pages to open, but I don't want the Window resized or my menus and toolbars disabled. I thought I had this problem licked, but it seems to have resurfaced with Firefox 13.

You can change some hidden preferences using about:config to control features in those pop-up windows:
- See --> http://kb.mozillazine.org/About:config
- Preferences to change --> http://kb.mozillazine.org/Prevent_websites_from_disabling_new_window_features

Thanks, Safebrowser, for your prompt and helpful reply.
I tried those about:config preference changes (changed them all to "true"). This solved the problem of the disappearing menus and toolbars. It didn't solve the problem of some sites that opened a new full-screen window that could not be resized.
I messed about a bit and found the culprit. It was a setting in the add-on Tab Ultilities Lite that allowed "resized popups" to open in a new window. (See attached screen capture.) I unchecked that option, and the "pop-up" now opens in a new tab that can be resized.
Anyhow, thanks again.
