I recently upgraded to 13.0.1. Now, I I try to access gmail my browser gets filled with all kinds of strange symbols. I have searched around and it seems to be a character encoding issue but I cannot figure it out. I tried messing with the character encoding menu with no luck.

This problem can be caused by the network.http.accept-encoding pref not having the default value.

You can check the network.http.* prefs on the about:config page and reset all bold user set network.http prefs to the default value via the right-click context menu -> Reset.

Check at least:

  • network.http.accept-encoding: gzip,deflate
