How to delete a Firefox icon from my dock

more options

Hi there - a couple of years ago, when I was updating the version of Firefox on my 2008 MacBook, a second icon appeared on the dock, right beside the first one. Either one will take me to Firefox, but I cannot seem to delete one. It is a small annoyance to have two icons taking up space on my dock instead of one, but an annoyance nonetheless. Can you advise on how I can get rid of one?
