How come Firefox for Android's settings do not offer an option to save webpage as a single HTML? The stock android browser does. The stock broswer 'Save page' setting saves in html format. Then I copy the HTML into a new plain text file.

Though I was pleased with Firefox for desktops, I am extremely disappointed with Firefox for Android. I have to download some many add ons to try to make it like Firefox for desktop. When I have to uninstall firefox and reinstall firefox or have to perform a factory reset, it is time consuming to redownload the add ons. Firefox for Android should have preinstalled: mobile image blocker, cleanquit, save as text, ixquick.com and startpage.com search engines, disable geolocation and a firewall,

Hi badbiosvictim, Where do you see the option to see html source in Firefox for Android?

As for your recommendations: Firefox for Android should have preinstalled: mobile image blocker, cleanquit, save as text, ixquick.com and startpage.com search engines, disable geolocation and a firewall,

There are add on collections that you can create and make available to everyone. http://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/andro.../collections/

guigs2, prior to posting this thread, I searched several times for a Save as HTML add on. After posting this thread, I searched again. 'Save Links Menu' kept coming up in the searched so I clicked on it. This add on does offer option to save as HTML. It should change its name to 'Save HTML & Links.'

guigs2, my recommendation to include ixquick.com and startpage.com in Firefox's search feature is due to state and corporate surveillance. Either Firefox should not have any preinstalled search engines or Firefox should list all search engines or Firefox should delete privacy violating search engines in favor of privacy respecting search engines.

Users may not know that ixquick.com and startpage.com are available as add ons. I had not known. Only by taking the time to look for other add ons did I come across them.

I will check out your recommendation for collections. But even if collections makes it faster to download add ons, the problem I previously complained about still exists. Add ons do not function as well as preinstalled menu. Firefox's menu is bare bones. It needs to have a toolbar as well as a larger menu.

The ability to customize for different environments and users is a nice feature of Firefox. I also tried adding these two : ixquick.com and startpage.com to the search engines.

The others as you know can tweak by adding the Save as text add on, Cleanquit, and perhaps Bluehell Firewall?

In about:config the geoloation is privacy.item.geolocation and is set to true. This means it will always ask you to share your location when a site uses this api to obtain your location. Currently its not a feature to turn on or off in the settings, but its built in. I have not seen an add on that does this, but that is the feature to take a look at for any coders reading this thread.

Happy to help if there are more questions.
