firefox stopped opening new tabs when i open a new link

When I use to open a new link firefox would open a new tab, now when I open a new link it will open on the current tab. I tried changing different combinations in the options tab but nothing seems to work. I want a new tab when I click a link

Hi, by default Firefox opens links in the same tab.

You may have been using an add-on such as Tab Mix Plus. Or Open Link in New Tab.

You can also click the mouse wheel, or right click > Open Link in New Tab.
