I am a newby so maybe not much help but I just had sync problems too. 1. There is a new sync and you need to have the latest Firefox version for it to work. 2. I thought syncing only worked between 2 devices - do you have 2 devices?
The new version of Sync has been around since Firefox 29 - April 29, 2014, so unless you were purposely using an old version prior to Fx29 that shouldn't be an issue.
What lead up to having this problem with Sync? IOW, why did that device not have your Firefox data on it and needed to be synchronized?

You can check the about:sync-log page via the location/address bar to see if there are error logs available.
You can temporarily set the services.sync.log.appender.file.logOnSuccess pref to true on the about:config page to also get a log of a successful Sync.
Do not forget to reset the services.sync.log.appender.file.logOnSuccess pref to false after you have finished testing Sync or you will end up with a lot of unnecessary log files once the issue is resolved.
You can upload a recent log if the log is too big to put in a reply.
Try to delete the signedInUser.json file in the Firefox profile folder and delete the Weave folder (Sync was formerly named Weave).
If that isn't enough then delete the prefs.js files to reset all prefs and maybe also delete the compatibility.ini file to reinitialize the profile.
You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)

Looks like a problem with the master password:

Are you using the master password?
Do you get a prompt the enter the master password?

Sorry. Requesting a new Password clears Sync data from the Sync server. The Password is used to create the encryption "key"; change the Password and the "key" is different - making it impossible to decrypt the data saved on the Sync server when that data is sent back to the device.

what is there any other way to retrieve this??? requesting new password will clear existing sync data?
The currently used new Sync version still uses the Sync key to encrypt data locally before uploading, but this Sync key is generated internally from the password of your Firefox account, so you no longer need to worry about it. Without the correct password it isn't possible to decrypt the data stored on the Sync server because the correct Sync key can't be generated. The Sync key changes when you change the password of the Firefox account and you lose all data stored on the Sync server doing that.

Thanks, iam asking can i get my old data by any chance?
is that completed gone? iam using my sync account from past few years i had lots of bookmarks in it?
can i get it back?
Sorry, your data is gone as a result of requesting a new password.
Even if Mozilla would make it so that data was able to be retrieved, that data would be useless - there would be no "key" to make decryption possible.
IMO, the encryption setup used for Sync services is too strong; other than password data, user data saved in Firefox doesn't need the level of sophistication that is provided by Sync. Password data by itself could be protected in a manner so that the entirety of the data isn't encrypted.
Then there's the fact that Sync wasn't intended to be used as a backup medium as it sounds like you have tried to use it. Used as intended, when getting a new password the user data would still be on one of the other connected devices and the data would sync back to the server and would be available on for the new installation.
