How do I back up all my old emails so that I can recover them all later after a HDD disc replacement please?
I have a hard disc which is failing and need to be absolutely certain I have my emails securely backed up somewhere as they contain legal information which will be required in the near future. I have a SSD for C drive which is OK and has space and Thunderbird is on that drive but I do not know where the old emails are stored. Can I backup this data somehow just in case? There are two other SSD's in the computer which are OK and have space. The drive which is failing is a HDD. All are fairly recent; I plan on replacing this with a smaller SSD

Backup the entire Thunderbird profile. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-tb#w_how-to-find-your-profile https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-tb#w_backing-up-a-profile

Thank you very much; I now know that the profile is stored on C drive so I am OK!
