How can I stop firefox from opening the hidden bookmarks toolbar when adding a new bookmark to the bookmarks toolbar?
After updating to Firefox 49, every time I add a new bookmark to the bookmarks toolbar, the hidden toolbar reappears. I usually have it hidden as I am using a small monitor with 1366x768 resolution to maximize the reading area of webpages without going full screen. This is more of an annoyance than anything as I would like to be able to uncheck the bookmarks toolbar & it stay hidden until I choose to show it. Does anyone have any ideas as to where I need to go to change this?

v49 is a beta version so there could be problems.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).
Is the problem still there?
Firefox 49 was release two days ago.
And yes, the Bookmarks Toolbar does open when a new Bookmark is saved to the Bookmarks Toolbar folder. New action in Firefox 49 vs previous versions.
I don't know how to prevent is from opening.

If it is a new action if v.49, then I guess there will not be an option in preferences to change the behavior. I wonder if there is a place in the config that can change this behavior...
I will leave this post unsolved for a few days to see if anyone else chimes in on the subject. If not, I will mark it solved...
