I know this was asked before, but I just can't turn off ad blocking on firefox. I don't want to block ads on YouTube and some websites won't let me access them.

I've read same copy pasted "solution" everywhere. Yes, my content blocking is completely disabled. I don't have a little shield on the left of my address bar. I swept trough settings multiple times and everything looks disabled, when I click on "i" symbol while on YouTube for example it says that it is not blocking anything. Every other browser works normally and displays ads when adblock is turned off. I recently switched to Firefox from Chrome and it's awesome browser, but this keeps me from using it normally.

I have Windscribe VPN extension, but this problem was there before this extension and it's not turned on.

I don't think firefox will block a site ads if it isn't some kinda malware related link or such. Youtube has ads for a reason and blocking them or attempting will lead them blocking your access in return. So if the ads are that bad you should contact YT support and inform of the issues. YT from time to time changes their scripts to prevent user who use their site from blocking their ads content - that supports their free site for us to use. So one has to live with the ads if we want free access to the site. But if the ads are really causing your side problems then you do need to contact YT support and tell them about it.

You completely misunderstood my entire question. I don't want to block youtube ads, but firefox does. and I CAN'T turn off ad blocking.

I want to enable ads.

Hello HisHyperion,

You have disabled all content blocking; you don't use adblockers, and yet you don't see any ads - weird ....

Would you do this please :

Type in the address bar about:config and press Enter (promise to be careful, if asked)

Type in the search bar privacy.trackingprotection.enabled and make sure that its value is set to false, which is the default value, but maybe it somehow got changed to "true" ....

If you had to change the value, then close and restart Firefox.

It's set to false. I didn't have to change anything.

If you see ads then nothing is blocking YT or otherwise. Ads pay for site to be free otherwise just like you said you won't be able to access them. There comes a cost to running a free web and if you don't see that then you misunderstood my reply in it's entirety. I suspect there is some kinda of adblock being used otherwise sites won't block you form accessing them as they would send you a popup to remove your adblocker. I have seen them and know what they look like. firefox by default install doesn't block ads - I used firefox from it's start to know that already. Now if those sites were malicious sites the browser would deny access to them if they are listed in it's programming filter.
