When TB is started, it downloads the -new- messages that have accumulated since TB was last closed. While keeping TB open, it auto-checks the mail-server again and then downloads -every- message on the server, new or not. This started happening after TB was updated recently, maybe two or three updates ago, around the last week of September.

Chosen solution

p.s. if it is beta, and you are using settings of "Leave messages on server" and "Until I delete them", then this is fixed in today's update of beta, available shortly.

POP server...Avast Free AV software...Windows 7 on HP laptop. No settings changed by me, that I'm aware of. Mail provider has not announced any changes, that I'm aware of. Thanks for your reply.

I should have also asked, are you using beta? Or version 102?

Wayne, it looks like you've nailed it. I'm using version 102.4.0 on the Release Channel. Those settings have been used, but I'm going to change them until the next Release version is available. Thank you for your help!
