There are probably technical ways to squeeze the beta back to stable release, but I advise a clean approach. That being: - install the stable release - create your accounts on the stable release - copy the addressbook (abook.sqlite) - exit TB - Using Windows File Explorer, copy message folders from beta to the stable profile following same structure: Mail folder to Mail folder, Imapmail folder to Imapmail folder, and Local Folder to Local Folder. - start TB. there will be some possibly missing addresses in addressbook and the settings will need to be redone.
Thanks for the reply. It not same as copying profile file? What happens if I change the location of the profile file of stable version to the beta version?
If you move the beta's profile to the stable version, I think you will see an error message that they are not compatible.
I think I got it. instead of moving the profile, I need to move the files in the profile directory into the new profile directory!! That means I need to move all files from the Beta version profile directory to the stable version profile directory!!!! Am I correct??
No. I said only to move email folders after having created accounts in a new profile.
Thanks. I am going to try and will post the results in next week
