Updated Firefox and immediately, computer selections with mouse or other - are not working. Screen freezes.

I allowed an update for Firefox today. Ever since, my computer is stopping, and not responding to mouse selections on firefox including the shortcut menu. While reading google new, the computer stopped responding. This has never happened before the update. I want to undo the update and revert to former firefox version.
