Hello! I tried to get some new personas today, but when I rolled over a design, there's no instant preview anymore... Could anyone please help? Thanks! ^^

When I first upgraded to firefox 3.6, I could preview any design instantly. Have recently cleaned up junk files using iobit systemcare.

Chosen solution

Previewing a persona only works on sites that are whitelisted via an allow exception.

Tools > Options > Security : "Warn me when sites try to install add-ons": Exceptions

Make sure that you do not use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox to clear the 'Site Preferences'. That will remove all exceptions.

Thanks very much for your help, cor-el! ^^ I did use clear recent history to clear everything a couple of days ago... -_- Allowing getpersonas.com to install add-ons solved the preview problem immediately! Cheers! ^^

You're welcome.

Be careful with removing everything because you can remove more what you want.

No. I tried ALL these possible "solutions". It simply doesn't work. Perhaps with the sacrifice of a young virgin or by doing some voodoo ? I deactivated my Adblock plus, set a bunch of "allow" to all the urls associated with personas : no success. Now at last I'm wondering on the usefulness of personas...

The 'roll over to try' doesn't work on my iMac running OS X, nor on my Windows XP PC, nor on my Windows 7 laptop. All my systems have a fairly normal setup, it's a bit silly Mozilla advertises for something on their 'update' page that doesn't work for a lot (or most?) people, but I guess you shouldn't expect too much from free software...

Wow. Thank you Corel. I went into Add On Exceptions in the Security Tab and added the Get Personas site to the exceptions and that seems to have done the trick. :) Let's hope it stays that way.

Just make sure that you do not use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox to clear the "Site Preferences" because that will remove the exception.

Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and password exceptions.
