how do i send a shortcut to desktop to quickly access a url next time i want it
in internet explore i want to access webpages with a shortcut on the desktop. i do this by going to file, then send, then i pick shortcut to desktop. can not find a similiar command sequence in firefox.

As a workaround try this
- copy the address from the firefox location bar. (Ctr+ L, Ctrl+C)
- Put the mouse cursor on the Windows desktop ( Alt+spacebar, N)
- Right click (or options key)
- New -> Shortcut -> paste link from location bar into the dialogue window
You can drag the favicon on the left end of the location bar onto the desktop to create a shortcut.
You can also use an extension.
