window starts to open then closes; right click on icon shows open windows but cannot open to use

opening firefox the window flashes and closes to right of screen. clicking on icon does nothing. right clicking shows 1 or more windows, but they will not open.

I have this exact same problem - I use WIN 7 and FF 3.6.13 - no one believes what I am seeing (except you :>) ) - hopefully someone will be able to respond with a solution I have uninstalled FF and re-installed same problem The FF WIN 7 taskbar preview shows the correct display and when I click it I get a flash and it appears to go off right side of screen
