Facebook and Google+ Don't Update When Pinned as App Tabs

I noticed that my feed and stream do not update when Facebook and Google+ are pinned as App Tabs. Normally, these update automatically when accessed as regular tabs. There seems to be a caching problem or something because the same page contents are retained even after shutting down and opening up.

Do you have the same problem too?

App tabs are reloaded from the cache on a next start.
If you want fresh copies then you need to clear the cache when you close Firefox.

Session variables is not a viable way to pin tabs. The potential for all sorts of complications is obvious. A pinned tab should use a special category of bookmark so that even if the tab is lost during shutdown, the program has a way to reintialize it. Maintaining maximum privacy and security should not be at the sacrifice of a simple feature that should have been implemented in a better way.
