What is the latest version of Firefox that I can run on my old iMac running OS X, version 10.4.11? I'm currently running Firefox, version 3.6.24. I use this old computer from time to time -- is it safe to run this version of Firefox?

I keep getting warning messages to update Firefox, but when I've tried I can't do it. My old computer won't support the latest version. I also tried clicking on something that said it would update me to the latest version my iMac would support, but no joy.

Firefox 4 versions and later do not run on a PowerPC Mac and require at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac.

The latest supported version for your os is 3.6.25 you can download from here:

Firefox 3.6 System Requirements

[For older Macs that aren't supported in Firefox 4+ versions, if you like, try TenFourFox for PowerPC's running Mac 10.4.11 & 10.5.8]
