after accessing several sites, fire fox times out on subesquent searches

When I begin my sessions, firefox accesses my various websites. After visiting more than 4 sites, firefox times out - the green circles turns gray. Multiple clicks on the site icon sometimes corrects the problem, mostly it requires turning off the computer and restarting. The problem appears to be getting worse

Can you try a different browser please. Do you have problems there? If not, try a new profile, take a look here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Managing-profiles#w_creating-a-profile

Don't worry, your bookmarks and passwords haven't been deleted if you do that, they're in another profile. Just open the profile manager back up and double click on the default profile. Then everything will come back.
