Plz fix the duplication of FF icon in Win8
Hi.
Since last update, the Firefox icon in Window8 task bar has been creating duplicates when one opens the program. Not just to signal us that several windows are opened, but across the task bar so that the icon of the program itself and the open windows ones are separate. It is the only program behaving like this in Window 8 and it's pretty annoying as it clutters an already encumbered task bar and prevents the using MS shortcuts to open programs (Win+F1, etc.)
As I have already addressed this pb 1 month ago and that it wasn't there before, it shouldn't be too hard to find the source.

Hi.
Here's the requested screenshot.
To sum up my question, I'd like Firefox to return to the status quo ante and to stop duplicating icons in my taskbar.
I found three similar Bugs filed on the Firefox Trunk and on Thunderbird for Windows 7, but nothing similar or the same on Windows 8.
My suggestion is to file a Bugzilla report about this issue.
Thx for you help, edmeister.
Well, this bug is very sly and borderline incomprehensible.
I was in the process of reporting it (it has already been done, although by a Win7 user), when I decided to right-click the icon corresponding to Firefox's open window in my taskbar and check its properties. Although I didn't change anything, it cured the bug and now there's just 1 stackable icon for the program and the windows.
As I don't have time to inquire further, I'll leave the issue opened.
