Alphabetise bookmarks please!
Dear smart people who know how to programme apps for Android phones.
Why oh why is it so difficult to programme the new version 'Firefox Nightly' so we (the user) can alphabetise bookmarks?
Mozilla can you please prioritise this issue, for I am sure many millions of other users would agree that it is necessary.
Sincerely
Tally

Hi
Thank you for your question about better bookmark management in Firefox for Android.
Bookmark management is still being developed, but a delivery date is currently unknown. If you want an early look at this feature, you should install the experimental Nightly edition of Firefox for Android from Google Play.
Nightly is a pre-release version of Firefox, therefore it may contain some unresolved issues, but it will allow you to try the bookmark management feature in Firefox for Android. Once installed, long press on a bookmark to be given the option to Edit the bookmark, where you can change the folder or create a new folder for the bookmark to be stored in.
Please follow the Mozilla Blog for updates on this and other new Firefox features.
Hi there Mr. or Mrs. Mod
This, in no way, answers my question.
I have been using 'Nightly' since it was first (Pre) released. I am not a programmer or understand the intricacies of said skill, but I do use several other apps & programmes, which all give the option to alphabetise lists (in thiss case bookmarks) or auto-alphabetise when saved. You even have that function on your pc web-browzer of Firefox, so please don't give me the old "we're working on it" or other default excuses, because it's quite obviously possible to do.
You seem to have aspirations of being the best web-browzer app and I commend you for your dreams, but if you are not able to transfer the web experience of your users to the app, then what's the point in trying.
And just so we are clear, I only use Forefox as my web-browzer.
Cheers
Hi
I fully understand what you mean and I have been talking to the developers directly about expediting the arrival of this functionality.
Given that this is a function that controls user information, and has to work with the Firefox Sync service (for those, like me, that use it), we will not want to finalise it until it is ready.
Ok, I appreciate it has to function in harmony with other things, but it truly fabergasts me to think that your people didn't consider this when originally brainstorming the functionality of a new app. Especially given the desire of those who use the first Firefox android app to have bookmarks alphabetised. (From what I've read)
Anyway, do you have any indication when this will be a function of 'Nightly'?
Cheers
