I'm trying to move icons from status bar one by one to add-ons bar because icons of new installed plugins are automatically assigned to status bar. How to do this?

PS: I've tryed Firefox4 UI Fixer, StatusBar Customatize and oter plugins but all makes whole status bar movable and not one by one. I want to move from status bar just few icons, not all.

PS: It's Firefox 29.0.1 on Windo

The Status Bar has been gone since Firefox 4; it was replaced by the Add-on Bar which did have a "shim" area for older extensions, to give add-on developers some additional time to "fix their stuff".

How many extensions (and which ones) do you have installed that use the statusbar "shim" and can't be moved separately from other icons?

IMO, any add-on developer who hasn't updated their stuff in 3 years, since Firefox 4 came out, deserves to get an atomic wedgie! (That is the back of their jockey shorts pulled up and over their head!) I'm referring to not converting StatusBar icons to Toolbar buttons that the user can place on any Toolbar they care to use.

  • Many of us are using

Classic Theme Restorer (Customize Australis) {web link} Restore squared tabs, appmenu, add-ons bar, small button view and more on Australis UI (Windows/MacOSX/Linux + Fx 29+).

  • Customize Icon

Move your mouse to the top of the Firefox window, then right click. You will see a menu of the available toolbars. Select Customize. In the new window, look for the icon. When you find it, hold down the left button on it, and move it to where you want it to be. You can move any of the icons you want from here, but some icons are locked in place.

You don't understand what I want. Maybe this screenshot will help you to understand my problem. Screen: http://s12.postimg.org/aa23wqnn1/problem.png

Sure we don't understand what you want, because you haven't given us the full story about what you have installed in Firefox 29 to bring back the "statusbar" which was removed from Firefox over 3 years ago. And the Add-on Bar which replaced the old StatusBar was removed for Firefox 29.

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for what you want. I'm afraid that's the best I can do for you. If you do find an answer, please post it here and mark it so others will know.

It is likely that those icons are all part of one container from a specific extension and thus can only be moved as one whole set and not as separate icons. It is the same as the bookmark start and the accompanying icon to open the show your bookmarks drop-down list that also can only be moved as a set unless you use the CTR extension.

@cor-el: And is there any way to get out icons from this container and add these to Add-ons Bar?
