Roboform stopped working with Firefox 30

After FF rebooted to install FF 30, I noticed that all traces of Roboform are gone. That is, I have no right-click options to fill forms, etc and there no longer is a Roboform toolbar. I do have a Roboform icon in my systray, but it does not do anything with FF.

I tried a bunch of the usual suspects like doing away with Roboform integration with FF and then re-enabling it, FF reboot, computer reboot, etc. No go so far. I did a search of the issue and it does seem that this may be a known issue. I am running Win 8.1/64-bit.

Another poster says he received this response from Roboform:

"leave RoboForm toolbar on a separate line where it was installed initially to make it work in your current version of FireFox."

I have no idea what that means. Can anyone explain or otherwise help with this problem? Thanks in advance.

Chosen solution

You need to install Roboform's "new" version - looks like a patch. http://www.roboform.com/support

You said and there no longer is a Roboform toolbar.

and Roboform told another user "leave RoboForm toolbar on a separate line where it was installed initially to make it work in your current version of FireFox."

How is that going to help you? You don't even have that toolbar. Why don't you contact Roboform support yourself and ask for help with their application and / or browser add-on for Firefox?

Well, you can plainly see that Roboform sometimes issues rather cryptic comments . . hoping to avoid that. Just to note . . .I asked for help not just about that Roboform comment, but in general about the issue.

If nothing else turns up here or in my other searches, then, yes I will contact Roboform support. Thanks for your reply.

Typically, add-ons are supposed to be supported on each version of Firefox and made to work on it. Roboform, IMO, has done a shitty job of doing that. There's at least 2-3 (maybe more) people on every Firefox release that have problems with Roboform.

We don't provide support for Roboform here, nor do we troubleshoot with Roboform software. Best advice is to take this question to Roboform themselves as Ed mentioned.

You are both right, no doubt. I have found over the years that FF users are very knowledgeable and creative . . so just hoping one such user maybe found a workaround. Thanks for your reply as well.

@theresajf1: Thanks much for pointing me in the right direction. After installation, everything was working again. Wonder if that is the solution for others with this issue. In any event, a big thanks and a sigh of relief.
