Thunderbird automatically provides two empty address books, neither of which I want to use. It added a Mac OS X address book, but doesn't use it. The Mac OS X book suits me fine, but doesn't correlate with any one address book I have. How can I get Thunderbird to use a contact book of my choice?

Chosen solution

Thunderbird only has read only access to the mac address book. so it can not use it for more than getting addresses.
