I upgraded to the latest Firefox revision and after that I lost all tab functions for bookmarks. The selections with I right clicked Drop Down was grayed out and I couldn't open windows in a new tab. I went in to TOOLS to options and clicked the tabs and I unchecked and rechecked the boxes closed the page. I still had a grayed out right click drop down On my window Bookmarks. So I resets Firefox and I saw that the right click drop down was back to normal and I could click on the options. so I when in to tools to tabs recheck my boxes and close the tools and went back to bookmarks and the right click drop down options were grayed out again. The Book marks Windows wouldn't open in new tab, used current tab. I did reset again. This time in TOOLS I didn't recheck boxes in Tabs left alone and and l am currently using the drop down to open tabs for a new window. If the upgrade has this kind of flaw an its released is one of the reasons I don't like UPGrades.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Try to open a new window in case there is a problem with the current window.

Yes I tried that too.I can open 20 windows its still the same in all of them.

It hasn't changed the condition after the upgrade. I can go to the tabs and check and/or Uncheck all the boxes it still does the same thing. It seems like that it has shut off the tab settings in tools. There has to be a flaw in the coding.

I'm not sure if I fully understand your problem.

Can you describe it with more details and possibly attach a screenshot?

Is this with right-clicking a tab or right-clicking a bookmark (where) or something else?
