why do I get and error when attempting to install the lighting calendar that it is not compatible with firefox 34.0.5..

I am using firefox 34.0.5, my thunderbird is 31.3.0 and I am attempting to install the lightning calendar. I checked the compatibility list. I downloaded the correct version of lightning and each time i attempt to install any version it fails and gives me the errors that this version is not compatible with firefox 34.0.5. I have tried five different versions of Lightning with the same results.
