Missing tiles (new tab) in FF39

My screen resolution is: 1280x1024

With FF38 it always showed me 12 tiles (4 columns, 3 rows) + the search bar on the "new tab" page but since it automatically upgraded to FF39 today, it's only showing 8 tiles (4 columns, 2 rows) now. According to "about:config?filter=browser.newtabpage", the rows are set to "3" and the columns are set to "5" and in "pinned" it still saved the missing tiles. Using Ctrl & -, I can make it display 12 tiles but unfortunately, it also decreases the font size for websites, which really isn't optimal.

So, how can I make it display 12 tiles (+ the search bar) again, without messing with the actual font size?

I have exact same problem, FF39 fails to display more than 2 rows of miniatures.

What's your screen resolution set to?

1680x1050.

Press Ctrl and "-" at the same time (you can get back to full size with Ctrl and +), does it show more than just 8 tiles for you then, too?

I think that it's a bug in the new version.

That's how it works for me too and it looks like a bug.

Same problem here. Control + and - don't do anything for me, probably because I'm using the add-on Default Zoom Level 7.5.1

Make sure that you have only one tab with the about:newtab page open when you zoom the new tab page. Otherwise you may only zoom the copy in the current tab and not the cached version of the about:newtab page. You can toggle browser.newtab.preload to false on the about:config page if you do not keep the zoom setting.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

Zooming out shouldn't be the solution, since it also decreases the overall font size (not only on the "new tab" page but on every website)!

Cor-el, I only had one New Tab open (as far as I could see, anyway). :)

Anyway, I agree with Neph: zooming shouldn't be the solution.
