Under "Live Bookmarks" Help topics, I am trying to use "Tips & Tricks" to add an RSS feed icon to my Toolbar that works. I am using FF 43. 0.2.

I can get the icon to appear, but it does not "light up" to signal me that a Feed is available. I even went to the USA Today site that has feeds listed as available, including RSS.

Does this web page show an enabled RSS icon?

Does "Subscribe to This Page" in the Bookmarks menu or the "Show your bookmarks" drop down work?

This FF webpage does show it lit up (in a darker black). So it works with Mozilla.

The USA Today webpage, while it stats it offers RSS, the icon is ghosted out (as is "subscribe To This Page).

The FF "Subscribe to this page" does work on this (Mozilla page), but I really would like to have a fully working icon.

(Why would it only work with Mozilla?)

Can you post a link to a page where it isn't working?

The website may not offer a feed that is compatible with Firefox or there might be issues with the way it is coded.

I've just gone thru 30 websites I use. Although I found just 4 who offer RSS feeds where my icon did not lite up, I found most of them do not offer feeds.

I was under the impression that MOST sites offer this from the FF description of this feature. Therefore, your analysis would appear correct - there are Feeds that are not compatible with FF.

Who knew?? (except you!)

I humbly apologize to the Forum and thank you for your help.
