I just updated to the newest version of Firefox and again, my Yahoo Toolbar is disabled! I can install it from https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/yahoo-toolbar/, but if I close my browser it is again disabled.

I have tried uninstalling both the toolbar and the browser, neither fixes the problem. This is really getting old! Why Mozilla and Yahoo can't get this bug fixed I don't know, but I am increasingly sick of it. I can't find a replacement toolbar on Mozilla that works as well. I am seriously frustrated.

Chosen solution

^You should not need to do that preference with the last update of the yahoo Toolbar at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/yahoo-toolbar/

The last Yahoo toolbar extension update on December 29 at a.m.o should have fixed this issue.

This will disable add-on signature enforcement; Enter about:config into your Firefox address bar Click the I'll be careful button Find xpinstall.signatures.required in the list Right click the preference Select Toggle until the value is false https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-on-signing-in-firefox

Are you sure it's fixed? I loaded a way earlier version of firefox and disabled updates until further notice so I could use my toolbar- I'd really like to stay current, but frankly, do NOT trust you guys...my Yahoo toolbar keeps disappearing- VERY FRUSTRATING!!!

I haven't had any problems with the Yahoo Toolbar since the latest Firefox update.
