Hello everyone!

I'm trying to upload audio files (.mp3 and wav) in my site (via a form) and everything works fine in Chrome, while Firefox tells me that the .mp3 "is not permitted type of file".Instead with the .wav no warning appears , but it just doesn't load it on the server. I tried to refresh Firefox uninstalling all add-ons, and I cleared the cache and cookies, but the problem persists. What to do?

It might have to do with the webkit support in Firefox: (http://www.blogosfera.co.uk/tag/audio/) and http://www.ghacks.net/2016/01/02/mozilla-firefox-webkit-compatibility/

It will depend on the method used to upload it seems. To test this theory, toggle the preference mentioned below. In order to change your Firefox Configuration please do the following steps :

  1. In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.
  2. Click I'll be careful, I promise! to continue to the about:config page.
  3. Search for 'webkit' and double click on layout.css.prefixes.webkit

Does the upload work after that?

And if its not there, try it in nightly and take note that it is coming to release in about 6months if it comes down the release train successfully.

I updated the firefox version to the 40.0 because that preference was not present, I double-clicked on it, but the problem persist.

The current release version is 44, are you on a different install track by chance?
