Won't stop freezing! Help!!
PLEASE HELP. For some reason this morning Firefox won't stop locking up continuously! It used to lock up only the first time I visited particular sites (I posted about this before--it started after a Firefox update but the issue was never resolved), but today, EVERYTHING is locking up, over and over. It took me forever and many tries just to get to this question box.
I've restarted my computer. I've shut down my computer. I've used Control+Alt+Delete numerous times. It even locked up the entire Windows system and had to restart Explorer. At first it would work for a little while and then start to act up, but now I can barely load a page and get it to work. Now it keeps locking up on the same page and will work for a few seconds then locks up again. It's locking up while I'm typing this. Now Notepad has locked up too!
The only browser add-on/extension I have is AdBlock Plus. I've even turned that off, which I hate to do since malware ruined my last computer. But it's not helping. (I'm on Windows 7.)
What's gone wrong with Firefox in between last night and today and how do I fix it?? It's practically unuseable now. :( I'm not even sure I'll be able to get back here.

What you describe sounds like the computers CPU is being overworked.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).
Is the problem still there?
Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe websites. Is the problem still there?
