Using Firefox in a kiosk mode for a library lookup system called overdrive. The onscreen touch keyboard shows up on the screen but text does not register on the screen. You can see the key presses registering on the screen. If you hook up a mouse you can click on the on screen keyboard buttons and text registers. Not sure what to do about this. Touchscreen works fine in every other scenario so I have ruled out my hardware as being the issue.

Hi   !

Would you check this, please :

Type in the address bar   about:config  (press Enter) (promise to be careful, if asked) Type in the search bar   ui.osk and look for the preference : ui.osk.enabled and make sure its value is set to   true

Bummer   !

Let's try Firefox in Safe Mode :

If Firefox is not running : Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox. If Firefox is running : 3-bar menu => ' ? ' (at the bottom of the dropdown) => 'Restart with Add-ons disabled'. Then OK the restart. A small dialog should appear. Click 'Start in Safe Mode' ( not 'Refresh' !)

See : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

And again :   bummer  !

The only thing I can think of now, is to disable and then re-enable the on screen keyboard in Windows Setitngs   -   see if that will make a difference.

And if that doesn't work either,   I can only hope that somebody else with better working braincells will come to your rescue   .......
