Fake Firefox Security pop-up malware/adware?
This security pop-up started when I downloaded Firefox and it happens almost daily. My Firefox is updated and yet this pops up claiming I need to click on it for an update (which I have not). Each time I get a pop-up, it has a different and suspicious-looking URL. I suspect this is malware/adware and want to know what Firefox is doing to address these? I see that others have the same problem. I ended my relationship with the other Search engine and want to keep using Firefox but I can't keep using Firefox if these kinds of things are not a security priority. I have very good, up-to-date anti-malware and anti-virus software installed and only seem to have this issue using Firefox. Pop-up blocker claims to be working. Please help us get rid of this...

An ad blocker such as uBlock Origin is very effective at blocking that type of garbage from being loaded. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/
